The South African Weather Service (SAWS) says residents in Gauteng should prepare for cloudy conditions with widespread showers and thundershowers the whole of Friday, with an 80% chance of rain across the province.
South African Weather Service senior forecaster Tokelo Chiloane says the wet weather is expected to continue into the weekend, although the probability of rainfall will decrease to about 60 % on Saturday and Sunday across Gauteng.
“This weather is expected to continue to Saturday as well as Sunday however, we’ll only be under 60% chance of showers and thundershowers for the weekend when looking at temperatures for today we are looking a the maximum of 20, Johannesburg maximum of 21 maximum of 21 in Pretoria.”
