The KwaMaphumulo and the KwaDukuza taxi associations say the KwaZulu-Natal Transport Department must shoulder some of the blame for the ongoing conflict between the two groups. This follows a meeting that provincial Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi convened with the aim of finding a solution to the conflict over routes.

There is a truth and justice that they are withholding, they need to clarify which routes are we supposed to operate as the KwaMaphumulo Taxi Association.”
