The uMkhonto weSizwe Party’s (MKP) Ad Hoc Committee member, David Skosana, has implored National Assembly Speaker Thoko Didiza to ensure that forensic investigator Paul O’Sullivan returns to account before the committee.
O’Sullivan walked out of Parliament on Thursday during proceedings, claiming that he needed to catch a flight.
Didiza has stated that action will be taken against O’Sullivan once the committee chairperson, Soviet Lekganyane, submits a report.
Skosana says the committee will ensure that all applicable laws are applied and that O’Sullivan is held to account.
“We always reschedule flights, sometimes our meetings take long here, for him to say that, that’s a lame excuse. He wanted to leave, he didn’t want to come here and do what he promised that he will do. Instead, he wrote a supplementary affidavit as well. And he’s been a very difficult witness, the superiority of this so-called white privilege, I think it’s still hanging over his head. He’s been controlling the security cluster for many years, but he cannot control Parliament.”
