Micheal Mawanda Maranga over the weekend revealed that in 2031, Uganda will get a new president.Hon. Mawanda said this over the weekend at burial in Kitagata parish Kyeizooba sub-county in Bushenyi district.MP Mawanda’s strong statements were as a result of utterances by the area chairman LC111 Mr. Bakikunde who asked him to support the proposal in parliament to extend terms of all elected leaders from 5 years to 7 years.Hon. Mawanda was the next speaker. He stood up immediately told mourners that there is no extension of the current government in 2031. He said President Museveni’s longest tenure will end then.He introduced himself as director of mobilization in Patriotic league of Uganda [PLU] whose leader is Gen. Muhoozi Keinerugaba.After making his points clearer, he commented about the health standards of the region since the head of the family Mr. Lucas Muhangi had complained about poor health services Mbarara regional Referral Hospital has.Mawanda had earlier during campaigns last year told www.mknewslink.com news website that strong voices calling upon President Museveni to retire would start before he swears in this year may 2026 and strengthen until 2031.
