South African Income Companies and products Commissioner (SARS) Edward Kieswetter says whereas he welcomes the tabling of the 2026 nationwide funds, he believes more wants to be completed to modernise SARS.
His feedback reach after Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana tabled the funds at Parliament in Cape Town on Wednesday afternoon.
Kieswetter says, “So we imagine that the modernisation of SARS will not be any longer a challenge, it is a new manner of being, that’s why we repeatedly bustle the Minister of Finance to step up the investment in SARS and here’s no longer worthwhile more of us.”
He says, “It is an investment in infrastructure, it is an investment in expertise. The next three years will fundamentally turn into how artificial intelligence, particularly generative intelligence or a genetic intelligence, will substitute how of us work.”
