One of the workers, who managed to reach safety, Sibongiseni Ndlovu, said the driver waited for about an hour for the floodwater to subside before attempting to cross the bridge.
Sibonelo Khoza from the Msinga Disaster Management Team says the body of a man was found on Sunday afternoon.
“I would like to thank all the department that were available to assist us with the retrieval of this body. It was Msinga Fire Department, Msinga SAPS and search and rescue, and also the community that plays a major role in finding these bodies. The search is still continuing for the last body that we still do not have,” says Khoza.
