The Financial Freedom Fighters (EFF) in the North West says it has suspended one of its councillors in the Metropolis of Matlosana Local Municipality, Lesole Malefo, following allegations that he solicited sexual favours from a rape sufferer, who had approached him for aid.
The alleged sufferer reportedly turned into to the councillor, after claiming she used to be no longer neatly assisted at a native police web site.
In a video circulating on social media, she expressed frustration over the handling of her case, and alleged that Malefo tried to spend abet of her vulnerability.
EFF’s provincial secretary Papiki Babuile says the celebration has taken the allegations seriously, and has initiated processes to suspend the councillor whereas investigations are below draw.
“After listening to the family, we further wrote a letter of suspension to the member of the EFF who also violated this girl. To suspend him and be determined that he faces the disciplinary complaints of the EFF.”
“We made tremendous that the day past we help in attempting to hint the perpetrator. And we can verify that at present after we tried closing night to hint him, at present he handed himself over to the police,” provides Babuile.
