The case against six people arrested in connection with the murder of e-hailing driver Isaac Satlat has been postponed to June 2026 for further investigations by the Pretoria Magistrates Court.
All six accused have abandoned their bail application.
Satlat was allegedly killed after two of the accused requested a ride.
Upon his arrival, he was reportedly strangled to death.
Dikeledi Mphela, Goitsione Machidi, McClaren Mushwana, Tumishang Mabutlane and Ofentse Senwamadi face charges of premeditated murder and robbery with aggravating circumstances.
Thabang Mothwa is charged with robbery with aggravating circumstances.
Defence lawyer Thabiso Mphahlele says his clients are willing to plead to all the charges.
“What we made clear to the state is that we are going to plead on all the charges that will be brought to them, particularly for accused number four. I am also informed that the matter will be taken to the high court, so we are waiting for the indictment so that we can finalise this matter”
