Banyana Banyana are through to the final of the 2025 COSAFA Women’s Championship.
The hosts had to come from behind to beat a stubborn Zimbabwe 4-2 on penalties.

The game ended 1-1 after 90 minutes, and the two teams had to be separated by penalties.
Banyana keeper Casy Gordon was the hero for South Africa after saving two spot-kick’s.
South Africa will now face Namibia in the final to be played in Polokwane on Sunday.
Zimbabwe started like a house on fire breaking the deadlock in the 10th minute.
Ethel Chinyerere gave Banyana keeper Casey Gordon no chance with a brilliant strike from outside the box.
South Africa found the equaliser through striker Nthabiseng Majiya in the 38th minute.
There were no goals scored in the second half and the game had to be decided on penalties.
Gordon saved two penalties to help Banyana Banyana advance 4-2 on penalties.
In the earlier semi-final, Namibia caused a major upset when they beat defending champions Zambia 1-nil.
Banyana and Namibia will face each other in the final on Sunday
