The round of 16 fixtures for the Buganda Schools Sports Competitions boys’ football championship have been confirmed following a draw conducted this morning at Kawanda Secondary School.
The knockout stage will see several traditional football powerhouses battle for places in the quarterfinals, with St Mark Kayunga and St Mary’s Kitende headlining the fixtures.
St Mark Kayunga will take on St Andrew’s Kaggwa in one of the standout encounters of the round, while St Mary’s Kitende face Kakungulu High School in another highly anticipated clash.
Elsewhere, Highway Secondary School Kiganda will lock horns with Lubiri Secondary School, as Merryland High School face St Austin.
Mengo Secondary School will battle Kyadondo Secondary School, while Buddo Secondary School take on Kawempe Royal College.
In the other fixtures, Greenlight Islamic Secondary School face Agrolinks Academy, while Stahiza Secondary School square off with Ndejje High School.
All the round of 16 matches are scheduled to be played today at different venues across the region as teams battle to keep their title hopes alive in the prestigious schools football championship.
